Planwell has had a relationship with Assesment Portal since it's inception and been instrumental in the testing of the intellectual properaty that today has become a leading standard in the analysis of business process and it's mapping of capabilities and benchmarking standards.

The designers at Assesment Portal have a combined 50 years experience in ITIL and ISO standards. The Activate service provides a  detailed analysis of the capability of an  organisation’s IT Service Management (ITSM) processes and links them to its specific short to medium-term objectives - in other words, its “Essence”.

What differentiates this assessment mechanism from more generic maturity-oriented models, is the ability to score against seventeen ITSM processes in six dimensions (as  opposed to ten and two). The assesments are automated and consistent in their analysis enabling retesting in a cost effective manner with the same testing methodology removing any subjective human styles. 

The Assesment Portal Automated Assesment for ITIL won the 2007 Australian ITSMf Innovation of the year award.
